Reading Salon at·Well Read
A reading club curated by Isabella, the tutor from Freaks & Lovers, at Well Read, an independent bookshop in Lisboa. A piece of literary work it's carefully chosen, to be worked through with the group and the guidance from the teacher. You read at your own pace, then we meet to tear it apart, gently, in Portuguese, over wine or tea. Expect vocabulary expansion, good company in a cozy space and literary evenings.

Over an hour of reading & conversation in Portuguese. We translate when we need to, but most of the night happens in the language. Ask any questions when in doubt, discuss the work, put new words into context and remember how good the feeling of filling up a whole notebook is.

Mostly short, Portuguese, sometimes translated. Novels, short stories, chronicles, essays, a single chapter, a poem.
